INSTANT COFFEE Project: 01. 02. 03. as part of FLOW, A city-wide exhibition of 20 video, film and new media installations for THE 15TH ANNUAL IMAGES FESTIVAL April 12 - 20 2002 Instant Coffee in conjunction with Jin's Banana House presents the Urban Disco Trailer a 18-foot long mid seventies holiday cruiser retrofitted with-not-so modern technology, approximating a discotheque. This wheeled disco offers you the aura of utopian desires associated with motor travelling without leaving the parking lot. This time round I.C. invited artists to contribute ambient video works for two outdoor screenings, including works by David Armstrong, Greg Hefford, Gabriel Acevedo, Laura Cowell, Lisa Deanna Smith, Jubal Brown, Kelly Coats, Pedro "Zulu" Gonzalez, Paulina del Paso, Renato Ornelas, Jinhan Ko, Kartz Ucci, Laura Borealis, Jordon Sonnenberg, Silverio, Michelle Kasprzyk, Ilian Gonzalez, Maurycy Gomulicki, Txema Jose Luis, plus, plus... I.C. will also turn the U.D.T. into a Mediatheque, which will be open daily. Your presence will make the party better. Hours and locations listed below. Number One: For those with a short attention span. Join Instant Coffee for a late night outdoor screening of ambient videos from the Urban Disco Trailer. Get comfortable, move about, hang out, meet artists, watch and listen. Refreshments and party favors on hand. special guests include Junior Datsun and DJ Ken Wong Location: Innis Town Hall, 2 Sussex Avenue Date: Friday, April 12th Time: 11:00 p.m. Number Two: Mediatheque, for those of you who missed a screening, fell asleep during a long programme or just want to watch your favorite film or videos over and over again. Instant Coffee and Images convert the UDT into a viewing lounge. The UDT will be equipped with individual viewing stations and a selection of films and videos programmed for IMAGES 2002. Works will be available for viewing on request. Location: Innis Town Hall, 2 Sussex Avenue Date: Saturday, April 13 to Friday, April 19 Time: Saturday and Sunday 3:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. and Monday through Friday from 5:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. Number Three: Closing night screening of ambient videos programmed by Instant Coffee and hosted by Jinhan Ko with special guest DJ Ken Wong. I.C. will also have tapes from IMAGESą 2002 programming on hand to screen any final requests.
